busy week
I can't believe I haven't posted all week. I've been busy teaching at school and I taught a fun class last night on distress techniques. It was such a fun class with 6 very inspiring students. We got really messy. My mojo has been in overdrive all week. I love when that happens. I've got a ton of 1/2 finished things rolling here. It must be the warmer weather that my muse is loving. Mom and I went to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on Sunday. It was so racy and completely hilarious. I think our sides hurt from laughing when we left. We are getting on a plane bright and early tomorrow to go visit all the in-laws for the weekend. Curtis' mom is having surgery next week, and we are having a little reunion before she goes in. I hope you have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

better
I had a much better day today! It's ok if you laughed yesterday, I would've if it wasn't me. I spent my day in Kindergarten and 1st grade today. It doesn't get much better than that. Where else can you carry around a purple crayon in your pocket and discuss rainforest creatures such as the margay. I'm working on a new video tutorial, should be up in the next day or so.

monday the 13th
I am seriously considering going back to bed and starting over. I've had an earache for 2 days now which I think is swimmers ear from my lap swimming last weekend. I got some medication yesterday, and it's starting to feel a bit better. I pad into the kitchen barefoot this morning to make my tea with 2 teabags to make it nice and strong. I get just the right amount of 1/2 and 1/2 in there to make it yummy. I take a step over to the sink to remove the teabags and ouch! It feels like I stepped on broken glass or a sharp pin. My toe is killing me and something sharp is in there. I look down as I'm hopping around and there is the nasty culprit. A yellow jacket is hiding under the toe kick of the bottom cupboards laughing at me. I'm telling you my toe swelled up to twice the normal size, pain all up my foot, pure agony. There just are not enough curse words for that kind of pain. I've still got it on ice 4 hours later. It's ok if you want to laugh, I won't hear you. I'm going back to bed.

new class
Just a pic of some samples for my next alcohol inks class on May 9th. The link is over there on the right. I love teaching the techniques and then letting students run with them. I've got a few surprises up my sleeve for this one including all those new alcohol ink colors shown at the bottom and a surprise non card project.
We are having a great spring break. The beach was warm and sunny and gorgeous. We watched Kyle's rugby game on Saturday and then I spent my day outside in the gardens and park on Sunday while the guys went deep sea fishing. The flowers were plentiful, but the fish were elusive. Dinner out, some swimming, and a few new books rounded out our getaway. ahhhh

crayon resist
I got on a roll with crayon resist after making the last tutorial. I made a set of these for my local card swapping friends. There's a bit of masking and over-stamping with the blue flower in the background on this one. I tried out Jennifer's fancy punch layering thing. It makes for an interesting corner.
It's been pretty crazy busy here lately. Kyle's still playing rugby and we're running up and down the mountain regularly for practices. I've been working lots more, earning a bit of money for summer vacation. The magazine is really rolling fast, so I'm writing and creating for that. We're running away to the beach this weekend to kick off spring break. I hope you're having a nice start to spring. Thanks for stopping by.
