This is my Wife

Through this fog that envelops me
To cause the world to slow to still
I thank whatever god's may be
For my unconquerable will

I cannot control my circumstance
I have not winced or cried aloud
Under the heavy weight of chance
I'm weary, but unbow'd

Beyond the mist, there is a place
In peaceful bliss my mind has made
Where happy thoughts wash over me
And finds, and shall find me, unafraid

I know the path will twist and turn
And I won't always see the bends
But the journey is that for which I yearn
'longside my family and friends

Hope your home soon,
Cub

I am so glad you chased me down those 20 years ago for this beautiful journey through life. You never cease to amaze and surprise me. I love you.
