family time

We had a wonderful visit with the whole clan last weekend. Those adorable kiddos are my nieces and nephews along with my son, the oldest, in the middle. I met the two youngest on the left at this visit and fell in love with them just as I did with the two older ones when they were here for a visit a few years ago. It's an amazing thing to me that we can so completely love our sweet little kiddos. Josie, on the far left, melted my heart at dinner the first night when she sat next to me and shared my food. I knew we'd be fast friends when she licked the butter off the bread and dipped her french fries in the sour cream on my baked potato. Jay, in front of Kyle, grabbed my heart the next day at the zoo. We were walking in the rain and he said I need someone to hold my hand. I jumped right in and held his hand all the way to lunch. He told me that he likes hamburgers with ketchup only and no real tomatoes. Gotta love a kid that know what he wants and holds your hand. I think they all had fun playing together this weekend.

My mother in law made it through her surgery yesterday, which was quite extensive. We are all so thankful that she is on the mend and have hopes of another visit when she is feeling a bit stronger.

Hi Tami! I'm happy to hear your MIL's surgery went well. It sounds like you had a really nice visit with your family in Nebraska. Love this photo and your stories of the little ones. CUTE! :)

Sending your family a big hug...

LOL Andi, there's a story about me and butter at that age. I'll have to double check it with my mom. I'll get back to you.
