Do you have this trimmer?
I have a product review up at Craft Critique today. I reviewed this trimmer by Making Memories which I've only had about a month. Someone posted that it dulls after a few months and doesn't perform. I don't want to send anyone off to waste money. If you have this trimmer, can you let me know how it's working for you? I don't want to lead anyone to a product that doesn't deliver. Thanks.
I am editing this post to add a link to Making Memories for the form to fill out regarding defective product replacement. I sent one in myself regarding the problems mentioned with this product.

I bought this trimmer about a month ago or so. I thought I was in love but it must have been lust. The fire has died :( I can't cut straight to save my life! Maybe mine is defective (can't find my receipt to exchange it tho) My magnetic ruler is seriously messed up (the ruler part is glued crooked onto the magnet) and if you try to cut anything smaller than 2" there is almost NO WAY to get it straight. They really should have a level "stop" all the way across on the other side of the blade. And one other thing that I knew going in but is a bigger problem than I thought; there is no way to measure on the other side of the blade. I have to eyeball my mats & sometimes, that does not work (I guess I have wonky eyeballs??)
I do love all the postives you said in your review but the negatives are getting to me now. I'm kinda wishing I would have waited & ordered the Dahle.
Thanks Suzi. Here is the link to the form you can fill out at Making Memories to get the product replaced: http://www.makingmemories.com/

I'll put a clickable link in the original post. I filled out this form asking the company to respond to the complaints. It doesn't say anywhere on the form that you need a receipt, just list where you bought it and the date you bought it.
Well I guess I'm on the other side of the fence here b/c I absolutely LOVE this trimmer. I have owned many and this is the best one so far. I have always gotten a straight cut from it. I love that its self sharpening and I can fold it up and take it to crops with me. I have had nothing bad to say about this trimmer. I have had it for over six months and got it with a 50% off coupon at ACM's so it cost me only 25.00. It was well worth it to me.
I also have this trimmer and like Samantha, it is my fave! I own TONS of trimmers! This cuts wonderfully... I did have to tweak it when I first bought it, it was cutting jagged, so I took it apart, played with the spring, and now it is fine...cutting that is!
It has developed a 'squeek' that is annoying, like fingers on a chalkboard, but I haven't tweaked it yet... I'm sure it will be fine once I give it another 'adjustment'!
I have this trimmer too! I have to say that I really love it! The only thing I do not like is that the scale is starting to wear off!!!!!
I need a new trimmer for some time now, ( the previous 10 i have worn out)
so, i have been watching threads about what people think of this one, the lss here has one on the wall but it was returned by the original purchaser and i dont want one that has been opened...
???
( and the store wont order more till that one sells again)
