Paint & Gothic Arch Challenge

I had to cave and combine a challenge tonight. There are just too many wonderful challenges out this weekend. This is for Julie's use paint challenge and Gothic Arch flower challenge. Lilacs are my absolute favorite flower. If you add in a few fragrant roses, then it's just heaven on earth. I stamped this Great Impressions lilac with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I got out my twinkling H2O paints and got busy with the paint brush. I masked off a bit and sprayed some ink. Then that wasn't enough, so I got out the heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds glitter. The ribbon says it all. Thanks for the great challenges Julie and Godelieve.

Lilacs sure speak spring. Great idea to use that for your arch. My favorite flower is daffodil, but I used roses on my arch.

Also, thanks for participating in the gothic arch challenges. I would like to invite you to do something special for Nancy James, the one who hosts the arch site. Her son Andrew is being deployed to Iraq on October 17th. He was home for the weekend, and Nancy and her husband are going to Georgia today week to meet Andrew’s platoon. You can imagine how wrenching this will be for Nancy.

I am inviting you and the other arch participants to do an arch, a 4x4, or an ATC for Nancy. I have set up a blog for it: http://fornancy.wordpress.com/

Just link in the comment section under mine. You can keep doing this for as many weeks as you like.

Let me know if you have any questions:
